LOGO: Connections Café

Connections Café opened in 2007 to bring locally grown food to the University of Rochester campus. The logo was created to symbolize the abundance of produce in New York State–corn and apples being two staple NY products–while also being a contemporary mark that showcases the forward-thinking of the University’s sustainability initiatives.

In 2008, Connections Café won a Loyal E. Horton Dining Gold Award (in Retail Sales for a Single Stand–Alone Concept/Outlet) from the National Association of Collage and University Food services. [source]

Packaging: Micro Instrument Corp

After having a promotional DVD made to share their capabilities with the world, Micro Instrument Corp was in need of a package to house the disc and related company information.

Shown here fully expanded, the package (produced by Volpe & Associates) also served as our opportunity to polish the company’s identity. Permanent information is located on the outer panels, with a booklet insert that is easily updatable to keep all content current.
